Jazz Chord Synthesizer
An additive synthesizer created in Max/MSP that explores the relationship between chord voicing and overtones.
Project overview
This project began with a musical question: could a synthesizer treat the internal structure of a jazz chord as a sound-design system rather than as a fixed group of MIDI notes? The prototype connects additive synthesis with harmonic voicing decisions, making chord color part of the instrument itself.
